Goizea will supply all the supports for the three combined cycle plants that TSK is currently building in Mexico: Salamanca CC (950 MW), El Saúz CC (300 MW) and San Luis de Potosí CC (450 MW).
The 950 MW Salamanca combined cycle plant will consist of two gas turbogenerators, two heat recovery steam generators and a steam turbine, plus other equipment including the electrical transmission system.
The El Sauz II Combined Cycle project is being developed on the same site as the existing El Sauz thermal power plant, located in the municipality of Pedro Escobedo. Its construction will take about two years and it is expected to be operational by mid-2024.
The plant, which will have a useful life of 30 years, will aim to increase electricity generation capacity and solve the shortage of electricity in the western region of the country, with greater energy efficiency and lower natural gas consumption.
The San Luis de Potosí Combined Cycle is an electricity generation plant with a guaranteed net capacity of 804.80 MW (+-10%) consisting of 2 gas turbogenerators, 2 heat recovery steam generators, a steam turbogenerator and tower cooling system, main and auxiliary transformers and all the equipment necessary for its integration, including its transmission system. It is located in the municipality of Villa de Reyes, in the state of San Luis Potosi and aims to contribute to meeting the future electricity demand forecast for the Western area.
The three projects are an excellent opportunity to strengthen Goizea's cooperation with TSK, as well as a great challenge as they are simultaneous projects with high demands for short delivery times.
