NEW THERMOSOLAR PROJECT IN SOUTH AFRICA

The Sener-Cobra consortium awards Goizea with the supply of all the pipe supports for the turnkey construction of the ILANGA 1 thermosolar plant in South Africa, where Sener is carrying out engineering, procurement management, construction and commissioning, as well as  participating in the O & M (Operation and Maintenance) consortium that will operate and maintain the plant once it is in operation.

It is a 100 MW plant, located in the town of Upington, in the region of North Cape, with SENERtrough® parabolic trough collector technology, designed and patented by SENER and with thermal storage capacity of five hours, thanks to the use of molten salts.

After the recent award of the supply for pipe supports for the Kathu plant, Goizea expands its presence in South Africa's thermosolar market. For this project Goizea will supply all types of rigid, elastic, sliding, dynamic and pre-insulated supports for the Solar Field, HTF, BOP and Molten Salts areas.
